Finally uploaded something to YouTube

September 12th, 2020

Finally shot and posted some content.

For now we’re starting out with our own take on “Let’s Play” videos titled “Let’s Ruin”. We plan on having other types of content like “Ruins Tech” or “Ruins Garage” in the future.

7 Days to Die recently released Alpha 19 which made many changes since we last played. Here is a playlist of our first 4 days.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered was a blast and nice trip down memory lane.

Star Citizen was recently patched to 3.10 and we wanted to see if we could break out of the current cycle of:

  • Launch the game
  • Spawn in habitat
  • Meet somewhere or on someone’s ship
  • Try to do a mission
  • Crash
  • Revisit in 6 months

Also Announcing Mike Truck rebuild project

February 20th, 2020

After spending 2 years straightening out a smog issue…
Mike’s truck was back on the road but it suffered some more bad luck.

Mike’s Truck in all it’s glory

It doesn’t quite look like this anymore and I’m afraid I can’t give too many details at this time. Suffice it to say it will be rebuilt with a new frame.

Considering the damage, I may rebuilt it as a 4WD but that depends on cash flow (and unfortunately, CARB *shutters*). This might also spawn a side project with the left over ruined frame. Also dependent on cash and materials, the original frame may get chopped up and used as the basis for a rock crawler/sand rail/over powered go kart. Haven’t really decided yet. The Fury and the truck are priorities and in that order.

Announcing Project Fury

February 19th, 2020

A little over 2 years ago I bought a 1966 Plymouth Fury II as a project car.

My goal is to make a nice, comfortable gas guzzler with some pickup and go.

Front of Fury

So far I have rebuilt the front clip with fresh hardware and repainted with cheap black spray paint (for now).

Engine bay has been cleaned up and removed all old wiring

Original Engine was a Polysphere 318 also known as a wide block. I was told by the previous owner that coolant was seeping into Cylinder 7 when this car was taken out of service. I received most of the engine parts and I do plan to rebuild this engine although I’m not to keen on using the 2 barrel intake or Stromberg WW Carburetor. I’ve been considering stroking it to 402

The original transmission is a A745 3-Speed Manual. Unfortunately I’m not really keen on double clutching nor a 3 on the tree shifter. I would rather lean back than hunch forward. It’s otherwise still in good shape. Might reuse it for another project.

In September 2019 I managed to track down an A833 4-Speed. It came from an ’82 Dodge D100 although the person I spoke with told me it was equipped with a 360, the bellhousing it came with was from a Slant 6.
